Since 2008, we've been building the ELKA brand for you. Most of you probably know the story of our beginnings from the dąescription on our website, media, or our social media networks. It's brief, and there's probably no need to dissect it further. What matters is that we emerged naturally, without any financial injection or another "miracle of today's age." We've matured into a brand that has something behind it and a lot ahead. Finally, we have a feeling that we have something to write about and share with you. We want to introduce you to what goes into the finished product and why it's more expensive than a "3 pack" in big chain stores.
What Awaits You on the Blog
We're still at the beginning, but we're already on solid ground. We want to share with you through articles, photos, and videos what we, as a brand, experience, what's happening behind the scenes, and what new things you can find with us. We'll take it thoroughly from A to Z – from production, through packaging, photography, marketing, to various operational experiences. We'll also share with you most (importantly) why ELKA Underwear has become ELKA Lounge and what our new brand concept, Your Moments, means. In short, you have something to look forward to!

That's what ELKA is based on. But as you can see, it's not always simple.
"You know what, I'll buy 2 meters of that organic fabric, and then we can use that certificate for the rest; it could be enough for your marketing."
That's what one of the Czech fabric suppliers told us during negotiations. That's just how it goes in the Czech Republic, among other places. The textile industry is struggling, there's no support from the government, a lack of finances for investments, and a reluctance to see beyond "buy cheap, sell even cheaper." Often, they take us for fools when we ask about certificates, want fabric scraps for other products, or think about how to keep pushing everything forward. Fortunately, this isn't a problem for our current suppliers and manufacturers, which we had a real challenge finding. That's why we guard them carefully! We know there aren't many of them, so we can't rush our growth either.
Let's be Honest
We don't call ourselves an eco-brand, but since our beginnings, we've been very concerned about not causing further unnecessary harm to the environment and society through our activities. We've started emphasizing this idea in the last few months with the slogan "With respect to you and nature." Many brands use the term sustainability, but they're not always sustainable. We aren’t one of them. We take sustainability seriously and want to be transparent about what we do, how we do it, and why we can rightfully call ELKA a sustainable brand.
